Wise Woman Way

Becoming a Wise Woman is every woman’s destiny, if she chooses it. To step onto the initiatory path that is the Wise Woman Way is to make the decision to build a relationship with the plants and the natural world. Not only that, but to also reconnect with the Goddess and to allow the Divine Feminine and the Goddess to become immanent. Travelling the Wheel of the Year can really help one to reconnect with Nature, the Goddess, the plants and can change your life for the better. To further deepen our connection to the natural world and to the Divine Feminine, our Celtic heritage will be recalled. Using folklore, story and music we craft our sacred tools and our plant medicines. As women working in circle, we come to understand how everything is alive and filled with Spirit.

I can't thank you enough for all the time you put into creating this course for us and for imparting your knowledge and wisdom to us. I feel like for the first time, I actually have a practical reference for healing and it is an awesomely empowering and liberating feeling.

Course Content

The Wise Woman Way Training is a very special, one year, transpersonal course. What you put in to it, is what you will get out of it. This is not a passive journey. You can join at any time because the Wheel of the Year is cyclical. Journeying around the Celtic Wheel of the Year you will find your Plant Allies; and at the same time you will meet the Goddess in her various forms.

You are encouraged to spend time in Nature. Walking the land, wandering the seashore, climbing hills and communing with the plants are some of the ways that help with reconnection and help you to find the magic. There is an unseen presence that can be felt when walking with gratitude for the Beauty of Nature.

Celtic festivals - Wheel of the Year

There are eight festivals during the Celtic Wheel of the Year.
Samhain - 31 Oct/1 Nov
Geimhreadh - 21/22 December
Imbolc/Imbolg - 1 February
Earraigh - 21/22 March
Bealtaine - 30 April/1 May
Samradh - 21/22 June
Lughnasadh - 1 August
Fómhar - 21/22 September

Each festival will include the crafting of your magical tools; tools such as Crane Bag, Dream Pillow, Slaghdán, Wand, Amulet and others. To recapture our heritage, ritual and ceremony will be created. Recapturing our heritage, Ritual and Ceremony will also be created. If you wish, you can then prepare for a Vision Quest at the end of one cycle around the Wheel.

With every step our Plant Allies will be with us; helping us, healing us, sharing wisdom and encouraging us to forge a deeper relationship with Mother Earth. As we journey with the plants to the Goddess in her various guises, we will undergo personal transformation and remember that everything is alive and that we are intricately and intimately connected to everything in this web of life.

Crafting and activities will include:
  • how to build an altar
  • how to make sacred, magical tools
  • how to journey to other realms
  • how to make plant remedies and flower essences
  • making ritual and ceremony preparation for a Vision Quest as well as recalling our folklore and music.

After one cycle of the Wheel a student can make a personal choice as to undertake an optional Vision Quest. The date for the Vision Quest will be agreed by the woman questing and myself. The Vision Quest can take place during the day or overnight and brings us into the Centre of the Wheel. In this place, all wisdom accrued, all Plant Allies and the Goddess are pulled together and the question is asked.

Each of the eight festivals (Samhain, Imbolc, Bealtaine, Lughnasadh, Winter and Summer Solstices, Spring and Autumn Equinoxes), will take place on the Saturday nearest to the festival date and require a donation of 100 per person. This includes an organic, vegetarian lunch and teas. Participants are encouraged to bring food to share so that we all nourish and support each other. If you prefer to follow the digital version of the course, each festival costs 35 which includes one to one tuition during each festival period.

Dates for 2022 are as follows:
  • Imbolc 5th February 2022
  • Spring Equinox 19th March 2022
  • Bealtaine 30th April 2022
  • Summer Solstice 25th June 2022
  • Lughnasadh 6th August 2022
  • Autumn Equinox 24th September 2022
  • Samhain 5th November 2022
  • Winter Solstice 17th December 2022
  • Date to be decided for personal Vision Quest – This takes place in the Centre of the Wheel.
